The SWAM C-115 Belt Abrading Machine is a system
for removing oxides and junctions from silicon and germanium slices.
It is also used for texturing, etching, and back-lapping wafers, as well as frosting quartz and glass.
These objectives are accomplished by the
interfacing of four separate components
1) The SWAM-BLASTER Model C-115 Precision Sandblaster.
2) A reciprocator to move the nozzle back and forth over the belt.
3) A conveyor belt system that transports substrates under the reciprocator nozzle(s).
4) A dust collector to remove spent media from the work area
