Working & Warranted high voltage power supplies sold by Capovani Brothers are refurbished and tested at our Scotia, New York facility according to the procedures below. 30-Day Return equipment is evaluated separately based on physical condition and, in some cases, powered on. Each product listing clearly identifies the condition and coverage that applies.
What We Check
Our High Voltage Power Supply Refurbishment Process
Inspection, Cleaning & Internal Hardware
- The internal and external components of the power supplies are inspected, cleaned, verified and replaced as necessary.
- All internal hardware is tightened and secured.
- Cooling fans are cleaned, tested and replaced as necessary.
Protection & High Voltage Inspection
- Overvoltage and overcurrent protections are tested when present.
- High voltage power supplies are checked for corona discharge and arcing.
Output Operation Testing
- No load and short circuit output operation tested, if output oscillations are present during the test, necessary adjustments to the feedback loop are made
Full Load Testing & Performance Verification
- All power supplies are 1 hour load tested to full output capacity in applicable modes of control (i.e. current, voltage and power), internal components monitored for abnormal temperature. If output oscillations are present during the full load test, necessary adjustments to the feedback loop are made
OEM Procedure Verification
- Where applicable the power supplies are tested by outlined procedures from the OEM.
Calibration Verification
- Calibration of output and metering gauges is verified. To have equipment calibrated, the buyer will need to arrange this with an appropriate calibration facility.
